As I read this book I get more and more into it, I love the way Palahniuk writes. It's just a completely different style, he tells this story but it seems like it's been told by the thoughts of the main character. He throws ideas, just like that; simple, short, straight-to-the-point ideas. When he does this you feel really conected to the story and to the main character (which name is never revealed), you can really get his pure and concrete feelings.
"And suddenly, I felt nothing"
Sometimes having so many ideas, confuses a little, but for me this is a better way for the reader to understand how this character thinks and feels with every single thing that happens to him, you see HIS situation with HIS eyes.
